I was surprised to have received an email from LinkedIn an hour or so ago congratulating me for being in the "top 5% of most viewed profiles of 2012". I rarely use LinkedIn and it seems that whenever I do have a busy period of using it, I get spammed to death with job offers from "headhunters" so I try to avoid it as much as possible. To me, LinkedIn has a lot of people shouting and not many listening.
